Andusia welcomes Mark Terrell

Andusia Recovered Fuels Limited is delighted to welcome Mark Terrell to their growing team, where he will shortly take up the key role as General Manager with responsibility for the day to day running of the business and leading the management team.

With a long history of experience in the waste industry, Mark has worked in many sectors of the industry from most recently Principal Consultant at Ricardo’s Energy & Environment team, and prior to this RDF/SRF production and end market development, through to composting, AD, IVC, food waste, wood waste and even sewage sludge. He is a Materials Engineer (BEng), and began his career as a chemist in the chemical, cement and waste industry. He has a unique mix of technical expertise and commercial market knowledge from working for Thames Water, Veolia, Lafarge, The Environment Agency, SUEZ UK (formerly Sita) and most recently Ricardo. Mark is very pleased to be joining Andusia and to contribute and drive its continued success, as they embark on the next period of growth and development in the UK CHP market.

Mark joined Ricardo as a Principal Consultant where he consulted on waste strategy for Local Authorities. During Mark’s 6 years at Suez UK he managed a specialist team responsible for RDF & SRF.  Mark was Suez’s Alternative Fuels Manager, responsible for developing European end markets for SRF & RDF. Mark has excellent connections in the energy from waste sector across the whole of Europe (most notably Holland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Norway) and has first-hand experience in securing RDF & SRF supply contracts.  Mark was responsible for setting up the whole supply solutions from the UK to Europe including logistics (including bulk shipping, containers, stevedoring, European road haulage and multi-model solutions), TFS (trans-frontier shipment) approvals, exchange rate risks and contract negotiation.  He also worked very closely with Suez’s RDF & SRF production business connected to material quality, production costs and operational throughput.  Mark has a detailed knowledge and understands the risks with producing and exporting RDF to both UK and Europe customers.
