Andusia Welcome New Commercial Director

Andusia is pleased to welcome Simon Little to their team as new Commercial Director.

Simon joins Andusia with a wealth of knowledge about the waste industry following over 15 years in the sector. Starting out as Sales Manager for the South division of the Waste Recycling Group before moving to family-owned Powerday for 10 years as Sales and Marketing Director, responsible for customer relationships and business growth. Most recently he was Commercial Director at Cory Riverside Energy before joining Andusia.

With the rapid growth of the UK EfW market, Simon will be responsible for sourcing and managing the RDF supply contracts in the UK for both the existing export market and new UK EfW market.

The announcement comes at a busy and exciting time for Andusia. After an unusual few months operating through a pandemic, Andusia are pleased to have continued to work closely with UK waste suppliers and EfW plants both in the UK and in Europe throughout the Covid-19 lockdown. RDF export levels have remained, managing to also agree some new contracts to be fulfilled in the very near future.

Andusia was founded in 2012, when Directors Steve Burton and Stewart Brackenbury saw an opportunity in the developing market of RDF export. The company quickly established themselves as the UK’s largest independent exporter of RDF waste across Europe.

The company has since expanded its offering, using their expertise in the RDF field to begin export of SRF to cement plants throughout Europe, and more recently hazardous and clinical waste.

Looking ahead for the year, company director and co-founder, Stewart, will be stepping back from the business and will be passing the commercial reigns to Simon. Stewart will continue his role as Chairman, taking on an ambassadorial role, with a view to retiring in the foreseeable future.

Steve commented ‘We are absolutely delighted to welcome Simon to the team. Simon is a very well-known face in the UK Waste to Energy sector and brings with him a wealth of industry experience. It is not every day that you get a chance to add someone with Simon’s talents to the team, and I know that Simon will be a huge benefit to the business.’

If you would like to speak to Simon about your waste requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact him on +44 (0)7785 957245 or email simon@andusia.co.uk.

We hope you will join us in welcoming Simon and wishing him all the best in his new role.
