Andusia Sign Clinical Waste Contract with Vetspeed

Andusia Hazchem Treatment is delighted to announce they have signed a contract with Vetspeed Ltd for supply of clinical waste to a new waste treatment plant in Malvern, of which Andusia is sole supplier.

The plant, which has been developed in an existing, retired plant, is the first of its kind to be built in the UK in the last decade and will start accepting waste from next month.

Vetspeed Ltd, founded over 40 years ago, are a waste management solution that operate through a portfolio of brands including the CPC (Compassionate Pet Crematorium) and Novus Environmental. The new contract will see 500 tonnes of clinical waste per annum being treated at the Worcestershire based plant over the next 3 years.

Andusia’s Steve Burton said: “I’m delighted that we have signed a supply agreement with Vetspeed, who have a facility very close to Malvern in Tewkesbury, and are a part of a rapidly growing clinical, hazardous and veterinary waste business. We hope that this is the start of an excellent long term relationship with the business.”

Disposal of such waste through high temperature treatment offers a high level of safety and minimises environmental impact, turning dangerous and infectious clinical waste into nothing but gas, ash and heat.
