Andusia Sign Clinical Waste Contract with Novus Environmental

Andusia Hazchem Treatment is delighted to announce they have signed a further, additional contract with Novus Environmental for supply of clinical waste to new waste treatment plant in Malvern.

Further extending the existing relationship between the two companies, the collaboration will see clinical waste, including Covid related waste, being treated at the Worcestershire based plant.

The plant, which has been developed in an existing, retired plant, is the first of its kind to be built in the UK in the last decade and is now operational.

Novus Environmental, founded 40 years ago, are a family run specialist waste management business. With a portfolio of accreditations, permits and licenses, the company handle a large range of waste streams, from animal-by products, chemical, clinical, offensive and pharmaceutical waste.

In addition to Malvern, from Q3 Andusia will also be sole suppliers to the largest clinical waste treatment plant built in the last 20 years in Stoke-on-Trent. Both plants will also generate electricity that will be put into the local grid.

Andusia Director, Mark Terrell, commented, “We are excited to collaborate with Novus Environmental. We are always looking for like-minded companies with a passion for waste recovery – and that is exactly what we have found!”

Mark ended “As we continue to diversify into hazardous waste, we hope this further demonstrates how knowledgeable and diverse our business and the Andusia team is.”

Disposal of such waste through high temperature treatment offers a high level of safety and minimises environmental impact, turning dangerous and infectious clinical waste into nothing but gas, ash and heat.
