Andusia are pleased to report a hat-trick of shipments set sail in one week! We saw 3 shipments depart from various UK ports, with two heading across the North Sea to Copenhagen and one on route to Finland.
Boat number 1, MV Tollund, set sail out of Chatham Docks on the morning of Monday 7th February. This vessel was loaded with approximately 2800 tonnes of RDF.
MV Tarzan was our second boat of the week, leaving Montrose, Scotland on Monday evening (7th). This vessel packed a whopping 3400 tonnes of RDF into the hold, all perfectly cross wrapped to maintain quality.
Our third boat of the week, topping off our hat-trick of vessels, left Grimsby port on Tuesday 8th February. This vessel, MV Isidor, saw approximately 2300 tonnes of RDF being exported to be used for energy.
This collective weight of 8500 tonnes of RDF in 3 days is a massive achievement for Andusia, complimenting the dedication and hard work of the team to secure and source transportation as well as waste. Taking volume and location into consideration, bulk shipping of RDF can often be more cost effective and environmentally sustainable than other methods.
