Andusia signs new contract with TJ Waste & Recycling Limited

Andusia has signed a contract with a new partner, TJ Waste & Recycling Limited, as it continues to expand its operations into the south east of England.

The agreement will see up to 10,000 tonnes of loose RDF exported from TJ’s Southampton site to EfW facilities in Germany over a 12-month period. The waste will be recovered and used to provide electricity and heating to local communities and businesses.

A family-run business, TJ Waste & Recycling Limited serves both commercial and domestic customers with a range of waste collection and transport services. It operates various sites across the south east including Fareham and Portsmouth, and is looking to divert more waste from landfill to meet sustainability goals.

“Partnering with Andusia was the natural choice for us,” said Jamie Higgins. “We were looking for a cost-effective diversion solution, but were faced with a lack of locally available waste treatment infrastructure. We can now be confident that Andusia will handle our waste responsibly and look forward to embarking on this journey with them.”

Mark Terrell of Andusia said: “We are delighted to be working with TJ Waste & Recycling Limited, who are a long established company running well maintained operations. This collaboration will also serve to strengthen our supply networks further in the south of the country to meet growing overseas demand for waste-derived fuels.”
