Stoke Hazardous Waste Plant
In June 2020, Andusia announced their second sole supply clinical waste contract, to the largest clinical waste treatment plant built in the UK for 20 years, on the site of a previous biomass facility site in Stoke-on-Trent.
The current two and-a-half acre site is being re-developed as a state-of-the-art facility to safely and effectively treat clinical and other hazardous waste streams whilst generating electricity that will be put into the local grid.
From Summer 2021, Andusia will be supplying up to 16,000 tonnes per annum of hazardous and clinical waste for high temperature treatment under a long-term contract.
Leading up to the commissioning of the new site, we will be detailing the progress here. Keep checking back for updates!

The deal is Andusia’s second collaboration with WEPP, following a similar sole supplier contract to a hazardous waste plant in Malvern, Worcestershire; already operational.
