Andusia ranked one of Hertfordshire’s 200 largest privately owned companies for 2018!

The Hertfordshire Limited study, conducted by business advisers Grant Thornton provided an in-depth analysis of the performance of the top 200 largest privately owned companies, based on turnover, within Hertfordshire – and once again Andusia was one of them!

Director, Steve Burton, Face of a Vibrant Economy!

Steve Burton, Director, and founding member of Andusia Recovered Fuels has been nominated as one of the 2018 ‘Faces of a Vibrant Economy’ by accounting network, Grant Thornton.

For the past 2 years, Grant Thornton have celebrated 100 Faces of a Vibrant Economy to showcase progressive leaders across private and public sectors to provide inspiration to young people as to how they might aspire to contribute as they move into the working world. Andusia Export SRF to European Plant

Andusia is pleased to announce that last month they exported their first consignment of SRF to a Mediterranean plant. This is Andusia’s first SRF contract and the process has proven to be a success.

Solid Recovered Fuel, or SRF, is a higher quality alternative to RDF. The fuel consists of smaller fractions with a higher energy content. The higher calorific value means it is suitable for use in cement kiln facilities. SRF waste is largely used across Europe to power cement kilns. Without the use of such a recovered fuel, the cement industry would no longer be a competitive or viable business.  SRF directly replaces fossil fuels such as Petcoke and coal, and offers an excellent environmentally friendly alternative.
