Two of our valued logistics partners, CMA CGM and DTK, have both earned a 2024 Andusia customer award for helping us transport and deliver landmark volumes of refuse-derived fuel (RDF).
CMA CGM picked up a silver award, an upgrade over its previous bronze award, while DTK won a green award.
We have been working with CMA CGM since 2018 and during that time, they have helped us export more than 100,000 tonnes of containerised RDF into Europe.
Containers are a great way to move RDF given the benefits of reverse logistics. The UK imports more goods in containers than it exports so by partnering with CMA CGM we can utilise the return ‘dead leg’ journey for maximum efficiency and cost.
Our partnership with DTK extends back to late 2023 and to date, they have helped us export over 22,000 tonnes of RDF to Germany on curtain-sided trailers, which is another great way to utilise the movement of waste.
DTK also kindly gifted us with a little truck to add to our growing collection!
Congratulations to both companies for your well-deserved awards.
(L-R) CMA CGM short sea director David Squires receives our silver award from Andusia director Chris May.
Managing director Tom O’Keeffe and business development lead Mark Millerchip are presented with a green award from Chris May and Andusia commercial assistant Paige Dawson.
