Andusia is delighted to announce they have secured an RDF supply contract with London’s largest recycling and waste management company, Powerday.
Powerday have the capacity to process over 2 million tonnes of construction, demolition, municipal, commercial and industrial waste a year. Using the latest technology to recycle and recover, they are committed to providing 100% diversion from landfill solutions.
Vice Chairman at Powerday, Edward Crossan, says “this is another commitment we have made to ensure all residual materials we produce are diverted from landfill in the form of quality RDF and SRF, we know our materials are suitable for a variety of plants and I would hope Andusia will help our expansion into these markets’.
Andusia and Powerday have formed a partnership in order to supply 10,000 tonnes of RDF this Winter to EfW plant Fortum, in Oslo. The waste will be recovered and used to provide electricity, steam and heating to the local area.
“I’m obviously delighted to have been to help Powerday, having spent 10 years there I know the work that goes into preparing the RDF they provide. I’m really looking forward to working with the team there and bringing forward more options for their continued sustainable growth.” Commented Simon Little, Andusia’s Commercial Director.
