Andusia has extended its partnership with Renewi by signing a new supply contract for refuse-derived fuel (RDF) with them.
The contract, which starts in 2024, will see 50,000 tonnes per annum of RDF exported via shipping containers from Renewi’s East London site to Scandinavia over the next three years. The baled waste will be supplied to various plant operators in the region and used as fuel for energy recovery.
Renewi is a leading waste management firm with operations across Europe, mainly the UK, The Netherlands, and Belgium. Andusia already works with Renewi to ensure their waste exports are handled smoothly and in an efficient manner through customs at the ports.
Chris May of Andusia says the new deal will cement this relationship further and enable further synergies to be realised between both parties.
“Andusia are delighted to secure this contract and it means we will be working more closely with Renewi, who are a valued customer of ours. Renewi are one of the biggest operators in the UK and we look forward to supporting them to add value to their waste diversion activities,” he said.
