Andusia Continue to Accept POP Waste

Did you know that Andusia can accept your POP waste in our RDF waste collection? In September last year, the Environment Agency (EA) issued new guidance on how councils should manage soft furnishings containing Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) which came into effect at the start of 2023.

POPs are chemical substances that do not break down in the environment, they are found in soft furnishings such as sofas, armchairs, office furniture and foot stools. They can travel long distances and build up in the bodies of plants and animals, and as such, they are a danger to human health and the environment.

Paige Joins the Commercial Team!

Andusia are thrilled to report that after business growth, Paige has started a new role within the team! We are over the moon that Paige will now be working within our Commercial department!

After taking a deep dive into what the business needed to become more efficient and helpful to our customers Paige was the perfect fit to support our Commercial team with the additional increase in demand.

Paige will assist in to the day-to-day running of our Commercial department and will be the go-to girl for all things pricing related, assisting with the management of our bulk vessel movements and act as the link to all business departments when we have new business or we experience any changes!

Andusia Sign Contract with Sun Skips Ltd

Continuing success throughout 2023, Andusia are happy to announce they have recently signed a contract with a new partner, SunSkips Ltd.

The collaboration will see 7,000 tonnes of RDF exported from SunSkip’s various locations across Cambridgeshire to EfW facilities across Europe, over a 12-month period. The waste will be recovered and used to provide electricity and heating to the local areas, whilst also avoiding UK landfill.

Andusia Ward Partnership

Andusia Partners with Ward and Invests in Net Zero Push

Midlands-based metal recycling and waste management firm, Ward, has signed a new partnership with Andusia that will see more waste diverted from landfill and exported to Europe, where it will be used to create energy.

Andusia Celebrate the Export of 2 Million Tonnes!

Andusia are thrilled to announce that it is celebrating the movement of 2 million tonnes of RDF to be sent to Europe for recovery!

Since Andusia’s launch in 2012, the company has grown to be one of the UKs largest independent exporters of RDF across Europe, celebrating many milestones over the 10 years. 2016 saw Andusia collect its 1,000,000th tonne back in 2018, 1,800,000 tonnes in 2022, and has since been on the countdown to 2023 with accelerated growth marking Andusia 2 millionth export milestone which they are pleased to report has been successfully reached.

Bulk Ship Sets Sail To Sweden

Andusia are happy to report their latest shipment is making great progress on its journey from Ridham Docks to Sweden! Loaded with approximately 3,000 tonnes of baled and wrapped RDF, this waste with be utilised by EfW plants for a sustainable and efficient source of energy.
